To start the BCI Gebouw Advanced training, it is important that:
You have a background in construction through education and/or experience
You have made or reviewed multiple calculations in the past

The BCI Gebouw Advanced training consists of 2 parts:
The BCI Gebouw basic/software training: you must have completed this before starting the 2nd Advanced part of the training.
The Advanced part of the training

BCI Gebouw Advanced trainings are provided by a certified BCI Gebouw Expert from our team. This training takes place on location from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, during which the theory and practice of circularity calculations are covered using your own calculation and those of your fellow participants. This way, you learn even more through practical examples about the key components of a calculation, how to assess them, and how to weigh them against each other.

The Advanced part of the training is organized in groups of a maximum of 4 participants per trainer. Completing calculations outside the training hours is also part of the program. A component of the BCI Gebouw Advanced training is evaluating the calculations of fellow participants. It is therefore important that you prepare well and that you have an existing calculation that may be evaluated. The BCI Gebouw Advanced training is a mandatory course for anyone who wants to become a BCI Gebouw Expert.

Target group: The BCI Advanced training is suitable for all professionals in the construction sector (architects, developing construction companies, developers, and consultancy firms) who want to get the most out of the data to make the best possible material choices and justify them within any construction or renovation project.

In collaboration with Cirkelstad, this training introduces you to “Het Nieuwe Normaal” (HNN): a framework to make circular construction measurable and actionable.

You’ll learn how to use indicators such as MPG, MKI, PPI, CSC and disassembly to assess and improve circular performance in your project or organization.

Training outline (4 hours):
Framework: the development, structure, and meaning of Het Nieuwe Normaal. Hands-on practice: apply the framework to a real-life case and analyze outcomes using BCI Gebouw. Integration: how to embed Het Nieuwe Normaal in policies, design, and execution. Good to know: You’ll receive templates and tools to use in your own projects.

This training has been specifically developed for housing associations and property managers who use Bryder and provides a practical introduction to working with CO₂ and circularity indicators within existing building projects. In collaboration with BCI Gebouw and Bryder, you will learn how to apply indicators from BCI Gebouw within your real estate strategy.

What will you learn?

- You will gain insight into indicators and performance measurements, including relevant methodologies such as MKI/MPG, MCI, CSC, and Paris Proof.
