Calculate the CO2, environmental, and circularity performance of your building yourself Know how to make smart adjustments yourself

To get the most out of BCI Building, it is advisable to follow a BCI Gebouw training. BCI Gebouw trainings are given by a certified BCI Gebouw expert or a professional from our team.

BCI Gebouw offers four types of training:

• BCI Gebouw basic training
• BCI Gebouw in-company training
• BCI Gebouw expert training
• BCI Gebouw housing corporation training

BCI Gebouw Basic Training

The BCI Gebouw basic training gives you insight into the world of material-related choices and their impact. Of course, you will learn how to calculate these material-related performances using BCI Gebouw and how you can influence them. The training lasts half a day (4 hours), during which the trainer will guide you through:

• The theory part: theory about CO2, environmental, and circularity performance.
• The practical part: we set up a demo environment for you, where you can work within BCI Gebouw.

Good to know: Even after the course, this demo environment remains active for you for several weeks, so you can practice to your heart’s content in BCI Gebouw.

The BCI Gebouw basic training is given every 2nd Tuesday of the month and can be attended online (via MS Teams).

BCI Gebouw In-Company Training

Are you going to work with BCI Gebouw with several people within your organization? Then the BCI Gebouw in-company training is an interesting option.

This training has the same learning objectives as the BCI Gebouw Basic Training but is offered physically within the Netherlands. The trainer will visit you. For a BCI Gebouw in-company training, the trainer will contact you before the training to discuss specific learning objectives and tailor the focus of the training to your wishes.

In-company trainings are offered in consultation with the applicant/client and based on the availability of trainers. Contact BCI Gebouw for this.

BCI Gebouw Expert Training

Do you want to make significant progress in material-related sustainability? Then the training to become a BCI Gebouw expert is interesting for you! BCI Gebouw experts have proven:

• To understand the material-related indicators in detail;
• To be able to manage these indicators without compromising the construction;
• To be proficient in BCI Gebouw software and to get the most out of the software.

BCI Gebouw experts can make calculations and validate calculations from third parties.

Do you want to become a BCI Gebouw Expert yourself? Then a separate training program applies. To start with the BCI Gebouw expert training, it is important that:

• You have a background in construction through education and/or experience;
• You have made or checked several calculations in the past.

The BCI Gebouw Expert training consists of 2 parts:

• The BCI Gebouw basic training: you must have followed this before starting the 2nd expert part of the training (you do not have to pay extra for this, the basic training fee is included in the expert training fee);
• The expert part of the training.

The expert part of the training is exclusive and is organized in a group size of a maximum of 4 participants per trainer. Making calculations outside training hours is also part of this training. Part of the BCI Gebouw expert training is evaluating calculations from fellow students. It is important that you prepare well for your training and have an existing calculation that can be evaluated.

BCI Gebouw trainings are given by a certified BCI Gebouw Expert from our team. During this training, the theory and practice are reviewed based on your own calculation for half a day. This way, you learn even more about the important parts of a calculation and how to handle them with practical examples from yourself and your fellow students.

After the training, a 1-on-1 conversation with the trainer is scheduled to personally check a calculation once more.

BCI Gebouw Housing Corporation Training

Do you want to get more control over circular building and material-related sustainability? During this training, you will learn what circularity really means and how to manage it concretely. You will become familiar with important indicators and measurement methods such as MKI, MPG, MCI, CSC, and Paris Proof.

You will discover how to translate data into strategic choices and how to use circularity and environmental performance to formulate and achieve ambitions. Topics covered in the training include:

• Introduction, necessity, and importance of circularity
• Reporting and benchmarking results for internal and external purposes
• Basic principles of circularity: What does circular building mean and how can it be managed?
• Indicators and performance measurements: Insight into relevant measurement methods such as MKI, MPG, MCI, CSC, and Paris Proof.
• The New Normal: explanation of all indicators.
• Data-driven decision-making: How to translate measurement results into concrete improvement actions?
• Determining strategy & ambitions: How to translate measurement results into concrete ambitions.
• Measuring and managing: Making choices based on environmental and circularity performance.
• Reporting and benchmarking: Structured reporting of performance for internal management and external accountability.

This training is a valuable addition to the use of BCI Gebouw and helps you make sustainable performance measurable and manageable.
