The
BCI Gebouw basic training new buildings provides you with insight into the world of material-related choices within new construction projects and their impact. You will learn how design and material decisions influence CO₂, environmental, and circularity performance, and how you can calculate and influence these performances using BCI Gebouw. The training lasts half a day (4 hours), during which the trainer will guide you through:
The theory section: a clear introduction to material-related CO₂ emissions, environmental performance, circularity, the National Environmental Database (NMD), and how these indicators are applied within new construction projects. You will also receive a brief introduction to BIM integration.
The practical section: you will work in a specially designed demo environment where you will learn step by step how to build a new construction case, create scenarios, enter materials, assess circularity and detachability, optimize CO₂ and material impact, and generate reports to support design and tender decisions.
Good to know: After the course, this demo environment will remain active for you for several weeks, so that you can continue practicing in BCI Gebouw and immediately apply what you have learned to your own projects.
The BCI Gebouw Basistraining Nieuwbouw can be attended online (via MS Teams). The training lasts 4 hours. The basic training is also available in an English-language version; please contact us at
